The Commercial Renovation
When a local entrepreneur set out to open a new bagel shop in the heart of historic West Palm Beach, they needed an engineering team capable of transforming a century-old building into a modern, code-compliant commercial space. Seals Design provided comprehensive structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services to make that vision a reality.
Working within a building that is more than 100 years old presented unique challenges. Our team carefully evaluated and strengthened the existing wood floor system, designed upgrades for an undersized electrical service, and coordinated every aspect of the renovation to meet the City's rigorous building codes while preserving the character of the historic structure.
Over the course of several months, Seals Design worked closely with the owner and project team to create a safe, efficient, and functional space designed for a busy commercial kitchen. Today, the renovated building provides a welcoming environment where customers can enjoy freshly made bagels, while the owner benefits from a facility engineered for long-term performance and reliability.
